Mr. Beylerian’s Marketing students sold Steeped Tea and donated the proceeds amounting to over $600 to the following charities: Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association, Three Oaks Shelter and Services, The Quinte Humane Society and the Trenton Salvation Army. Well done!

And That's A Wrap!

Ms. HuculOur annual Year End Assembly was a celebration of a great year at THS.  Muzikwerx entertained with several numbers, Arts Council and Students' Council reviewed the MANY events that occurred, SHSM Non-profit displayed the busy year they have had, and we viewed two special videos - an award-winning safety video and a NEW promotional video of THS that will be featured for years to come on our website and Youtube channel, both by Brycen Roy.  We said good-bye to several staff members:  Mr. Corkey (Lead Hand), Miss Reid (Teacher), Mrs. Little (Teacher), Mrs. Tripp (Teacher), Mrs. Pearson (Teacher), Mr. Phillips (Teacher), Mr. Furlan (Teacher), Mr. Manlow (Teacher), Mr. Ashby (Educational Assistant) and Mrs. Mills (Library Technician).  Finally, we launched Ms. Hucul into a well-deserverd and happy retirement after 34 years of teaching.

For more pictures of our assembly visit our Galleries.  For video of the various performances, check our Youtube channel (coming soon).

ALT Program Wraps Up

ALT ProgramIt has been a very busy semester for students in our ALT Program.  In addition to class work, they have done water sampling at the Bleasdale Boulder and Presqu'ile Provincial Park, rock climbed in Kingston, raced CO2 cars in Technology, helped out in the kitchen, contructed a green roof model, made bird houses for Presqu'ile, landscaped at our school and run a successful hydroponic grow installation.  We are proud of the efforts of this group.  Thanks Mr. Sonneveld, Mr. Ellis and ALT Kids for all of your hard work!
